Here&#039;s the Readers Digest Condensed version.  Right about the time you still have 1-1/2 inches more to go before attaching the clasp or jump ring just stop at that point.  Let&#039;s call this &quot;point A&quot;.  I slip all my cords through a jump ring or end of clasp about 1-1/2 inches away from &quot;point A&quot;.  Flip your work around so that your ring is at top and your knots are at the bottom.  Start knotting square or half knots.  At this point you are working back towards &quot;point A&quot;.  When you reach &quot;point A&quot; finish off by whatever method you like to end your work, be it gluing, melting, or weaving.  I have not done this using satin cord but I have used it with hemp cord which can be just as thick.  Let me know how this works for you.
